One morning, Grasshopper found a lovely road to follow, and the road looks fine to him. On his walk, he met plenty of folks who want him to join them. But Grasshopper was happy just walking down the road.
He found a sign on the side of a tree, and the sign said "MORNING IS BEST". Soon Grasshopper found another sign and a group of beetles. They love morning, and they wanted him to join the group. He joined the group, but he was quited the group because anyone who loves afternoon and night can never be in the group.
After that, almost noon, the road went up a steep hill, and Grasshopper climbed to the top. He found a big apple lying on the ground. He thought the apple is good for lunch, so he ate a big bite of the apple. Then a worm who lived in it. The worm claimed that it is not polite to eat a person's house. Just then the apple began to roll down the road on the other side of the hill. The apple was rolling faster and faster. Grasshopper couldn't catch the apple, he tried to do that though. The apple rolled and rolled, rolled all the way down to the bottom of the hill. The apple hit a tree and it smashed into 100 pieces. However, the worm climbed up the side the tree, and he said that this is fine time for me to find a new house.
Grasshopper found a cloud of dust, and it was caused by a housefly who was sweeping the road. The housefly thought that the road is very dirty and covered with nasty things. The housefly started to explain the reason why he is sweeping the road. He won't stop sweeping till the whole world is clean, clean, clean.
In the evening, Grasshopper walked slowly along the road. The sun was going down, and the world was soft and quite. The world was getting dark, and he watched the moon rising over the land and watched the stars come out. He was really tired but happy to be walking slowly down the road. He lay down in a soft place, and he knew that the road would still be there in the morning, taking him on and on to wherever he wanted go.
This book is described a day of the grasshoppers. I like this book because I want to walk outside and meet people like him sometime. His adventure is to be continued...
